Lincoln Park

With one of the largest parks on the Chicago lakefront, Lincoln Park is known for its sprawling views of the downtown skyline. The neighborhood borders east at Lake Michigan, west at Ashland Avenue, north at Diversey Avenue and south at North Avenue. As you walk the streets, you'll notice the brownstones, vintage apartments and even some of Chicago's largest mansions. Visit the well known Lincoln Park Zoo, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Lincoln Park Conservatory (Zoo Lights at the end of each year are a highlight), Theater on the Lake and DePaul University. Shop at the staple boutiques on Armitage Avenue like Lori's Shoes, Art Effect and Laudi Vidni. Stop for lunch at the bright and airy Santa Monica Summerhouse. Going for a play at the Steppenwolf Theater? Try dinner at Vinci, Michelin-starred Boka or visit an Italian classic at Tarantino's.
